Visit to the Obong of Calabar

As part of their itinerary, the Governing Board paid a courtesy visit to the Obong of Calabar, His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi-Otu V. The delegation was warmly received at the royal palace, where the Board paid homage and expressed appreciation for the Obong’s support in fostering peace and stability in the state, which is essential for port operations.

The Chairman of the Board Senator Adeyeye Adedayo highlighted the importance of traditional institutions in promoting commerce and peaceful coexistence, while the Obong, in his response, assured the delegation of his continuous support for initiatives that would bring economic growth and development to Cross River State through the port.
